proDAD Mercalli 5.0

Detect and fix the possible issue of shaking camera movements when filming on a handheld or unstable device. Apply the recognition algorithm and automatically adjust for the camera movement, thus visually removing frame shaking. Zoom shots and analyze the stability frame by frame.

proDAD Mercalli is a program equipped with various functionalities that allow users to correct camera shakes, add effects to video sequences or fix several clip distortions.
The software's interface has a modern look but it can be confusing because of its poor delimitations. Also, its nuances of grey are badly chosen and tend to increase the learning curve. The memory usage is average and though it's better to have a high-end system it's not mandatory.

The video editing options are diverse and include tools like Dynamic Zoom Reduction - for reducing the need to zoom in, automatic CMOS correction for skew, wobble, and jello, refined 3D stabilization, Forensic View - for evaluation and optimizations of the corrected video. Moreover, it comes equipped with a video preview area that can be separated either vertically or horizontally. Also, if users need to export settings they only have to pick a target location to output the clips and adjust the video quality.

To conclude, proDAD Mercalli is a very useful tool for removing trembling effects and camera shakes from your personal videos. Yet, I find the price to be a bit exaggerated and though it provides in-depth documentation it takes some time to learn to work with its tools.
